A weekend away, and what follows
The River follows Simon and Dani Barron on a weekend away, and Simon through grief. The first-person adventure moves from the drive into a park to a hike and a journey by raft.
Exploration happens on foot and on the water. Trails, landings and a campsite belong to one connected park, forming one continuous setting for the journey.
Water, weather and sound
The current Godot project connects the environment to its movement systems. Water and raft behavior share definitions with the weather and sound systems, so the conditions of the park can shape the same journey.
Work currently centers on the environment and movement in local development. The illustration above establishes the river setting; it is concept artwork supplied by the creator, not an in-game screenshot.
Still being made
Character art, companion behavior and the final story interactions remain unfinished. There is no public playable release yet. The project is being built locally.
